This is a better picture of the piece. The Chinese symbol is actually kind of 3-D. I went over it with fabric paint.

It was hard to get a good picture of this piece because it is so long. The koi fish and the background are watercolor. I laminated the background to make it shinier.

Watercolor and pen so far. The Chinese symbols mean 'special' and 'soulmate'. From there I found a pic I had taken of bamboo stalks.
